Terms and Conditions of Use

In accordance with common principles of ethical research and in recognition of the generosity of the individuals interviewed in allowing their speech to be recorded and archived, all users of The Spanish in Texas Corpus are asked to abide by these rules:

  • Respect for participants. All users will refrain from making any disparaging remarks about the individual persons, the views, or the speech represented in the corpus.
  • Confidentiality of participants. In any publication or presentation that is based, in whole or in part, on the data archived here, researchers will use pseudonyms when referring to individual participants.
  • Appropriate acknowledgment. In any publication or presentation that is based, in whole or in part, on the data archived here, researchers will cite the following:
